Adding posts to your website is a presentation technique used to highlight multiple key messages. Posts generally consist of a series of visual announcements with distinct calls to action, each promoting different aspects or offers.
Activate post display
To ensure they are visible on your site, you must activate the posting feature. To do this, simply click the button located on the right side of the screen, from the main announcements page:
Create a post
- Go to the “Announcement” section from the site editor in CentralApp
- Click the “Add a Message” button in the panel on the right side of the page
Three types of announcements are available, each suited for different needs. In this article, we explain how to create a post:
Post settings
Publication date
Set a start date for when your post will appear.
You can also specify an end date (optional) if you want the post to be displayed temporarily (e.g., promoting a holiday menu). It will automatically disappear at midnight on the day after the selected end date.
👋 If no end date is set, the post will remain visible indefinitely on your site.
Define the message
Add a title to provide more information and context. It is recommended to include a clear and precise title to grab the visitors' attention.

Add a Call-to-Action
To activate the calls to action, simply enable the button on the right. This will also apply to backgrounds:
1. Promote a business goal
If you want to encourage customers to take a specific action on your site, this post allows you to display a message with a button. This button will redirect visitors to the corresponding page on your site.
Here is a list of possible business goals: table booking, room reservation/private booking, booking a room, contact form, recruitment, order taking, appointment scheduling, franchise, showcasing events, showcasing your menu, etc.
👋 The list of objectives varies depending on the features activated in CentralApp. It is possible that you may not have access to all the options listed above.
2. Custom action
If you want to redirect customers to a specific link (external form) or another website, the post with a custom action is ideal. You can include a link and text that will act as a clickable button, hiding the full URL.
Add a background
You can choose to add a color or an image to the post you are creating.
1. Add an image
By selecting an image, you can choose one to display as the background to illustrate your announcement. You’ll have the option to upload one of your own photos or choose a royalty-free image.
2. Add a color
The color of the post is tied to the highlight color set in your site’s branding settings. If this color doesn’t suit you, you can select a custom color.
Can you add multiple posts to your site?
Yes, it is possible. You can also schedule multiple posts in advance by setting a start and end date for each post.
