To bring your website online, it is necessary to connect a domain name to it. This domain name will be the address where customers will be able to visit the site.
There are several ways to set up your domain name:
- You configure your domain name that you already own
- You transfer your existing domain name to CentralApp
- You choose your domain name when setting up with CentralApp
Configure the existing domain name
If you already have a domain name, you can connect it to CentralApp to put your website online.
Configuration in CentralApp
The first step is to set up your domain name in CentralApp. To do so, go to the "Domain name" feature in the "Website editor" tab.
Then click on the button "Use a domain I own", then enter your domain name in the field provided for this purpose in the section "Option 2: Connecting my domain" and save the page.
Configuration in your registrar
You will then have to modify the DNS entries of your domain name in your registrar (Ionos 1&1, GoDaddy, OVH, etc.).
Here are the DNS entries to configure:

Also check that you do not have any other A and AAAA entries.
Warning
If you manage your domain name from your side, you must also take care of its renewal so that the website can always be online. CentralApp will not be held responsible in case of negligence on your part.
How to transfer a domain to CentralApp
In many cases, you may not have access to the management of your domain and you may need to contact your former provider to regain access to the domain and activate your CentralApp website.
In order to facilitate this process, here are some instructions to follow:
- Unlock the domain so that the transfer is possible
- Quickly send us the AUTH code needed to transfer the domain (code often valid for a maximum of one week)
- If a professional email exists, communicate us the necessary to maintain the email redirection or third party email solution (MX record)
- Once the domain is unlocked and the information communicated the transfer takes between 24 hours and 7 days depending on the extension of the domain name
