Why Manage Your Themes

Managing your themes allows you to:

  • Preview changes before making them public, ensuring optimal display.

  • Share your work with colleagues through preview links, facilitating collaboration.

  • Delete unused themes to keep your site organized and avoid confusion.

Access the Theme Manager

To get started:

  1. From your website preview, click on Theme Manager.

This button opens the space dedicated to creating and managing all your themes.

  2. You will find the complete list of active and inactive themes there.

Preview a Theme

Before publishing a theme, it's essential to test it:

  1. Click the button to the right of the theme you want to view.

  2. Select Preview or View in a new tab.

  3. The site displays with the chosen theme, without activating it for all visitors.

Previewing your theme's preview

Common mistake: confusing preview with publication. Preview only allows you to view your changes.

Best practice: always test a theme in preview before making it public, to ensure optimal display on desktop and mobile.

Concrete example: you can test a new design for your menu page before making it visible to all your visitors to avoid an incomplete presentation.

Copy a Theme Link

To collaborate effectively:

  1. In the theme list, click the button to the right of the chosen theme.

  2. Select Copy link.

Getting the preview link to share

The link is copied to your clipboard and can be shared with your collaborators.

Tip: send the link before publication to gather constructive feedback.
Concrete example: your colleague can view the new theme and suggest adjustments before the site goes live, thus avoiding corrections after publication.

Delete a Theme

To keep your site organized:

  1. From the theme list, click on ••• next to the theme to delete.

  2. Select Delete.

  3. Confirm the deletion in the window that opens.

Delete a theme

Warning: this action is irreversible. Ensure the theme is not active before deleting it.

Best practice: delete only unused themes to avoid losing content or creating confusion.

Tips for Effective Theme Management

Rather than placing best practices at the end, they are integrated directly into each step:

  • Name your themes clearly to find them easily.

  • Always test in preview before publishing to avoid errors.

  • Share preview links with your team for quick feedback.

  • Check mobile and desktop compatibility for an optimal experience.

By following these tips, theme management becomes intuitive and secure, even for novice users.
