If you don't have professional photos yet, consider hiring a professional photographer. An investment quickly recouped thanks to the visual appeal of your site.
Add Photos
From the site editor, click on the Photos and Visuals option and add your photos by clicking in the designated frame.
To add photos from your computer, click "Click to browse", select your files, and upload them. You can also add royalty-free images via Unsplash or Pexels. You will be able to crop your photo once it is uploaded.
Some Pitfalls to Avoid:
Fewer than 5 photos
Gallery too focused on one subject (e.g., only dishes)
Photos with very different styles
Inclusion of flyers, posters, or documents with text
Files too small (the platform does not accept images < 400 px on each side)
Add More Than 10 Photos
An ideal gallery contains 8 to 10 photos. To go beyond this, we recommend connecting your Instagram account to CentralApp to display your feed directly on the site and using other sections for your images (team, privatization, menu, events,...)
Change the Order of Photo Appearance
To change the display order of photos in your gallery, click on the photo, hold the click, and move it to the desired location (drag & drop). The photo layout on the site is automatic to optimize visibility.
Manage and Attribute Your Photos
Properly attributing your photos is essential, especially for those you did not create yourself, to respect copyright.
To access your image management options, click on the ≡ button.
In the editing menu, you will find several fields to provide credits:
Author/Source: indicate the name of the author or the source of the image (e.g., “Photo credit: Jane Doe” or “Source: Unsplash”).
Link to the website (optional but recommended): add the URL of the author's site, their portfolio, or the original page. This helps to properly credit the author and create a link to their source.
Photo description (alt text/SEO): fill in the description field by detailing precisely the content of the image. This step is crucial for accessibility and for the natural referencing of your site.
