Connect an Existing Domain Name to CentralApp

Prerequisites

Before starting, make sure you have the following:

  • An active domain name (e.g., mydomain.com)

  • Access to the registrar account where the domain was purchased (OVH, Ionos, GoDaddy, etc.)

  • The rights to modify DNS settings

  • Access to your CentralApp dashboard


Step 1: Setup in CentralApp

  1. Log in to your CentralApp dashboard.

  2. In the left menu, go to the Domain Name section.

  3. Click on Connect an existing domain.

  4. Enter your domain name (e.g., mydomain.com) then save.


Step 2: Setup at Your Registrar

Next, you need to update the DNS settings of your domain at your registrar (OVH, Ionos, GoDaddy, etc.).

Where to Find DNS Settings?

Generally:

  • Log in to your registrar's interface

  • Select the relevant domain name

  • Go to the DNS, DNS Zone, or Record Management section

⚠️ Before adding these entries, ensure no other A or AAAA type entries exist for the domain.

💡 DNS propagation can take up to 24 hours.


Important Information

If you manage your own domain name, make sure to renew it regularly. CentralApp cannot be held responsible if the domain expires.
