Why Create Your Website Yourself

Creating your website on your own allows you to:

  • Have complete control over the content, design, and features.

  • Save time by setting up your site directly as soon as all information is ready.

  • Customize your identity so it perfectly reflects your business.

Example: a restaurant that updates its own menus and photos can instantly highlight its daily specials without waiting for an external party.

Prerequisites Before Starting

Before creating your site, ensure you have:

  1. Your business information: name, category, address, phone, hours.

  2. Visual content: photos, videos, logos, and useful documents.

  3. CentralApp account: to create your site, you need an active account.

  4. Browser and internet connection: use an up-to-date browser (Chrome, Firefox, Edge) with a stable connection.

  5. Domain name: if you want a custom domain, prepare your options (lowercase letters, numbers, hyphens, minimum 3 characters).

Tip: preparing all your elements beforehand speeds up the process and reduces errors.

Choose a Domain

You can choose an integrated domain (example.cover.page) or create a new custom subdomain (lowercase letters, numbers, and hyphens only, minimum 3 characters).

Your Cover page is always accessible from this domain and it never expires. When you set a custom domain, your traffic will be redirected to your custom domain.

  • Integrated domain: example.cover.page, always accessible and never expires.

  • Custom domain: unique subdomain with lowercase letters, numbers, and hyphens (minimum 3 characters). Your traffic will automatically be redirected to this domain.

Feed and Customize Your Site

The site editor is your tool to manage all elements of your site:

  • Key information: contact details, description, photos, hours, videos, labels, and virtual tours.

  • Interactive features: menus, services, reservations, orders, forms... to better interact with your customers.

  • Advanced management: visual identity, domain name, languages, analytics, legal information, billing, and user access.

Best Practices for a High-Performance Site

  • Completeness: fill out all sections for a rich user experience.

  • Visual consistency: fonts, colors, and images should reflect your brand.

  • SEO optimization: use relevant keywords in your texts, titles, and descriptions.

  • Regular updates: update menus, events, and promotions.

  • Test the site: check all features on both desktop and mobile.

Tip: use visuals and videos to make your site more attractive and improve the time visitors spend on it.
