Why offer a multilingual website?
A website available in multiple languages offers several benefits:
Reach an international audience: allow visitors from different countries to discover your establishment and services in their own language.
Improve the user experience: make browsing easier and build trust by providing content your visitors can understand.
Increase your online visibility: translated content tailored to each language can help improve your search engine optimisation (SEO) and attract new visitors.
Once multilingual support is enabled, your website automatically displays in the language configured on the visitor’s device, provided that language is available. Otherwise, the website remains in your establishment’s default language.
How to add a new language to your website
In the navigation bar, click Domain and publishing.
Go to the Languages section.
Click Add a language.
Select your desired language and save your choice.
Please note: enabling a new language does not automatically translate the content already on your website. You must manually add translations in each relevant section.
Which content can you translate?
In the CentralApp website editor, you can translate the following sections:
About your establishment: about, concept, team and history.
Products and services: menu, products and services, price list and accommodation.
Events and projects: event spaces, portfolio and events.
Editorial and informational content: announcements, blog and news, recruitment and FAQs.
Best practices for managing your multilingual website
Follow these tips to provide a consistent experience across all languages.
Start with essential content: prioritise the sections your visitors consult most often, including your establishment’s introduction, products and services, prices and practical information.
Keep your translations up to date: whenever you add or edit content, remember to update all enabled language versions.
Maintain consistency: use consistent terminology and phrasing across languages to preserve your brand identity and present your offerings clearly.
Adapt your content to your audience: choose natural translations that reflect your customers’ linguistic and cultural expectations rather than translating word for word.
Check every language version: browse your website in each language to ensure that all text displays correctly, the information is complete and navigation remains smooth.
