The Announcement Feature

The Announcement feature allows you to broadcast visible messages directly on your website, at the right time and place. It is based on three complementary formats: banner, post, and slideshow intro.

The Announcement feature is part of the Marketing module of your subscription. A subscription including Marketing features is required to activate announcements on your site.

Access to the feature according to your subscription

If your subscription does not include the Marketing module:

  • the options related to announcements remain visible in your interface;

  • they are accompanied by the “Pro” label, indicating they are only accessible with a higher subscription;

  • you can view the available formats, but not activate them on your site.

To use announcements, it is necessary to upgrade to a subscription including Marketing features.

Why use the Announcement feature?

  • Gain visibility: your messages are seen directly by your site visitors.

  • Communicate at the right time: with scheduling, you broadcast your announcements only when it’s relevant (event, novelty, important information).

  • Adapt the message to your goal: each format meets a specific use: quickly inform, detail a message, or captivate immediately.

Best practices for your announcements

Before creating your first announcement, here are some key rules to maximize their impact:

Choose the right format

  • Banner: short message, continuously visible

  • Post: detailed or occasional information

  • Slideshow intro: strategic and priority message

Get to the point

  • one main piece of information per announcement;

  • a clear and direct message;

  • a call to action only if it adds real value.

Schedule smartly

  • favor temporary announcements for occasional information;

  • avoid leaving an announcement active for too long: it loses effectiveness.

Focus on visuals

  • use lightweight images or videos;

  • ensure good readability on mobile;

  • stay consistent with your visual identity.

Common settings for all announcements

Regardless of the chosen format, you can:

  • define the message to communicate: Write a clear and concise text. Adapt the message length to the chosen format (short for a banner, more detailed for a post).

  • add a call to action (optional): Add a button if you want to encourage your visitors to book, visit a page, discover an offer or event,...

  • choose a publication date (permanent or time-limited).

  • select a background: color, image, or video.

Available formats

The banner

Banners are displayed at the top of your site, across all pages.
They are ideal for broadcasting a short and impactful message while remaining discreet.

Recommended use cases:

  • highlighting a product or service;

  • announcing an event;

  • important information with continuous visibility.

Concrete example
A restaurant displays a banner “Brunch every Sunday from 11 am to 3 pm” with a Reserve button.

Posts

Posts allow you to publish more detailed messages. They are designed to engage your audience with more informative content.

Recommended use cases:

  • communication about a new feature;

  • specific promotion or offer;

  • occasional information requiring more context.

Concrete example
A beauty salon publishes a post detailing a new service, with description, visual, and booking link.

Slideshow intro

The slideshow intro is displayed in full screen upon arrival on the site.
It is the most immersive and visible format.

Recommended use cases:

  • important launch;

  • strong marketing campaign;

  • priority message not to be missed.

Concrete example
A hotel uses a slideshow intro to announce its seasonal reopening, with photos, a welcome message, and a Book Now button.

In summary

The Announcement feature allows you to:

  • communicate effectively directly on your site;

  • choose the format best suited to your goal;

  • schedule your messages to remain relevant;

  • gain visibility without relying on external channels.

By combining the right format, right timing, and clear message, your announcements become a true communication lever for your business.
