Why Add a Banner to Your Site

A banner (or announcement bar) is placed at the top of your site and remains visible on all pages. It offers several advantages:

  • Immediate Communication: Share an important message, a link to a specific page, or a temporary promotion.

  • Interaction with Your Visitors: With call-to-action buttons, guide your customers to a reservation, a contact form, an order, or the discovery of your menu and events.

  • Optimized Visibility: Your message is seen by all visitors, without the risk of being ignored as secondary information.

  • Flexibility: You can schedule its display for a specific period and customize it according to your needs.

Essential Prerequisites

Before creating your first banner, ensure the following elements are in place:

  • The Announcements section is available on your account (marketing option)

  • Banner display is enabled (essential step)

Without prior activation, your banners will not be visible on the site, even if they are correctly created.

Enable Banner Display (Mandatory Step)

To allow banner display on your site:

  1. Open the CentralApp site editor

  2. Go to the Announcements section

  3. Click the activation button located on the right side of the screen

Once activated, this option allows the display of all published banners on your site.

Set Publication Parameters

Banner Publication Parameters

A. Define the Publication Period

  • Start Date: Date when the banner appears on the site

  • End Date (optional): Date when the banner automatically disappears
→ The banner is removed at midnight the day after the chosen date

Without an end date, the banner remains visible indefinitely.

B. Write the Banner Content

  • Add a clear and explicit title

  • Use a short message, understandable at a glance

  • Avoid secondary information in the same banner

Multilingual Site? Each banner must be translated into the languages activated on your site to be visible to all your visitors.

C. Call to Action (CTA)

Activate the button in the panel and choose the type according to your goals:

  • Promotion of a Business Goal: Redirects to an internal page of your choice (reservation, menu, contact form, etc.).

  • Custom Action: Redirects to an external link with customized text. Define the button text and the destination (internal page or external link).
