Why Publish a Temporary Menu

A temporary menu allows you to showcase content that is not meant to be permanent on your site. It is particularly useful for:

  • Events and Holidays: Christmas, Valentine's Day, Easter, Mother's Day…

  • Seasonal Menus: summer menu, winter menu, autumn menu…

  • Limited Offers: weekend brunch, collaboration with a guest chef, themed weeks…

  • Occasional New Items: launching a signature dish for a few days or weeks.

Publishing a temporary menu allows you to generate interest, attract your customers to exclusive offers, and refresh your content without altering your main menu.

Publish a Temporary Menu

CentralApp offers three display modes to precisely control the visibility of your menu:

  1. During a specific period: your menu appears only during the chosen period. Ideal for a seasonal or event-based menu.

Example: Christmas menu visible from December 15 to 31. The menu is automatically removed once the end date is reached.

  2. Starting from a given date: schedule your menu publication in advance to prepare your promotions or events.

  3. Permanently: for menus you want to keep visible all the time, without a time limit.

How to Publish a Temporary Menu

  1. Create your menu in detail or in PDF.

  2. During publication, select "during a specific period".

Best Practices for Your Temporary Menus

To make the most of your temporary menus:

  • Plan ahead: clearly define start and end dates to avoid any oversight.

  • Be clear in the title and description: specify that it is a limited offer or a seasonal menu.

  • Highlight your new items: a temporary menu is the perfect time to test new dishes or formats.

  • Use attractive images: they increase engagement and conversion on your site.

  • Communicate on your networks: a temporary menu deserves to be shared to attract more customers.
