Republish a Hidden Item on Your Detailed Menu

Is a temporarily hidden dish making a comeback on your menu? Thanks to the editor's backup memory, you don't need to...

Essential Prerequisites Before You Begin

Before starting the republication, ensure that the section where you want to integrate your dish still exists.

  • If the section is active: You can proceed directly to step 1.

  • If the section has been deleted: It is imperative to recreate the section before you can associate your item with it. If the section no longer exists, it will be technically impossible to link the item to it. You must recreate it before proceeding. If the destination category no longer exists in your editor, it will be technically impossible to associate the item with it.

Step 1: Open the Item Manager

From the main page of your detailed menu:

  1. Go to the menu settings located on the right side of the page.

  2. Click on Manage Items, which you can easily recognize by its green badge indicating the exact number of dishes currently kept in reserve.

Step 2: Choose the Republishing Option

A pop-up window opens in the center of your screen.

Click on the first choice titled Publish an Item to access the catalog of previously hidden dishes.

Step 3: Select the Dish to Reactivate

You are now on the page listing all the archived items in your database.

  1. Scroll through the list to locate the item in question (for example: "Mixed Green Salad").

  2. Click on the “+” button located to the right of the item. This action confirms your item selection and sends it to the association step.

Assigning to a section

From this same page, you also have the option to modify the information of a hidden item or permanently delete it from your database.

Step 4: Associate the Item with Its Destination Section

A final configuration window appears to help you organize your display:

  1. Check the box corresponding to the section where the item should reappear.

  2. Confirm the operation by clicking the Link Item button.

  3. Your dish is republished on the menu.

Troubleshooting Common Issues

  • I can't find my item in the "MANAGE ITEMS" section

If an item is missing, it is likely that it has been permanently deleted from the database rather than just hidden. In this case, you will need to recreate it manually as a new item.

  • The "Link item" button remains grayed out or doesn't work

Ensure that you have checked at least one section (step 4). If no section is selected, the system blocks the linking.
