Add photos to the items in your detailed menus

About

Visuals play a crucial role in engaging visitors on your website. A well-chosen photo grabs attention, highlights the quality of your products, and helps create a more immersive user experience. Additionally, a menu with images gives your online presentation a more professional look.

Photo display is linked to section settings

By default, images are hidden in the menu. To ensure their visibility, you must enable photo display for each section:

For a new section: during creation, make sure to uncheck the option "I want to hide images in this section" before saving.

For an existing section: you can easily check if image display is disabled. If it is, a frame labeled "Images hidden" will appear next to the section. To fix this:

  1. Go to the sections of your menu from the control panel on the right.
  2. Click on the edit icon for the relevant section.
  3. Uncheck the option "I want to hide images in this section", then save your changes.

👋 If a section is set to display images, all items in that section must include a photo. Otherwise, your logo will be used as a placeholder.

How to add a photo to an item

A new item: when creating an item, scroll to the bottom of the page to add a photo by uploading it from your device or selecting a free stock image via Unsplash or Pexels.

An existing item: after confirming photo display is enabled in your sections:

  1. Access the item details by clicking the edit icon.
  2. At the bottom of the screen, upload your chosen photo from your device or select a free stock image from Unsplash or Pexels.
  3. Save your changes to finalize the photo addition.
