If you already own a domain, you can connect it to your CentralApp website without transferring its registration to CentralApp.
Before you start
You need:
an active domain name,
access to the account at your domain provider,
permission to change its DNS records, and
access to your CentralApp dashboard.
Add the domain in CentralApp
Log in to CentralApp and select your business.
Open Domain name.
Choose the option to add a domain you already own.
Select the option to keep the domain with its current provider.
Enter the domain name without
https://,www., or a page path.
Update the DNS records
Open the DNS or DNS zone settings at your current provider.
Copy the exact DNS records displayed by CentralApp.
Remove or replace conflicting records only as instructed in the dashboard.
Save the changes.
DNS changes are not immediate. Propagation can take up to 24 hours, and the SSL certificate is prepared after the DNS configuration is detected.
You may check DNS propagation with tools such as dnschecker.org
Primary and secondary domains
If the website already has a primary domain, the connected domain can be added as a secondary domain.
A secondary domain redirects visitors to the current primary domain. You can make it primary later when the action is available.
Who manages the domain?
The domain remains registered with your current provider. You remain responsible for its renewal, billing, ownership information, and provider-side DNS access.
