A CentralApp website can have one primary domain and additional secondary domains.
How secondary domains work
The primary domain is the main address displayed to visitors and search engines.
A secondary domain automatically redirects to the current primary domain.
The redirect preserves the page path and query string. For example,
second-domain.com/menu?day=fridayleads to the corresponding address on the primary domain. Each configured custom domain receives its own SSL certificate.
Add a secondary domain
Open Domain name and add a domain by:
buying a new available domain,
connecting a domain that remains with another provider, or
transferring an eligible domain to CentralApp.
If the website already has a primary domain, the additional domain is automatically added as a secondary domain.
Manage a secondary domain
Select the domain from the list to view its DNS, SSL, ownership, registration, and renewal information. Available actions depend on how the domain is managed and on your account permissions.
Make it the primary domain
Use Make primary from the domain details when the action is available. The previous primary domain becomes secondary and redirects to the new primary domain.
Secondary domains and page redirects
The automatic domain redirect applies to the complete address.
Page redirects are separate rules used when an old page path must lead to a different page path.
